11/11/11 by Meghan HelmichI admit
I haven't tried to stop
wondering what might happen
when we touch
Whether it will be just another
dripping breath
or the collision of two pieces
of the same machine
that would've manufactured
blank ammunition during the wars
and flame throwers
for the peace rallies
if only we'd come together
sooner. 11/14/2011 Posted on 11/14/2011 Copyright © 2025 Meghan Helmich

Sorry. I had to say it. I loved this though. |
Posted by Shannon McEwen on 11/15/11 at 05:48 AM I love this, after reading the first stanza, the second was completely unexpected, packed a punch, I like that. |
Posted by Sal Haefling on 11/15/11 at 02:27 PM There probably are flame throwers at peace rallies. I love flame throwers. Great imagery, meggs. |
