Bedazzled

by JD Clay

Deliciously driven
Far and beyond speechless
I should have tethered my wit
Before leaping
Into Elysium

Ravaged
By your delicate charm
And Duchess style
Your consummate beauty plundering
This lexicon

It seems I’ve bitten my tongue
Clean off

Sometimes these recognitions still amaze us, the wondering of it...and yet if plain daylight is not poetical what is? What love slays us if we don't bite our tongue off over every kind of love? Thanks.

I love every well placed word of this sweet expression. Cute and clever at the same time---must be someone very special inspiring such wit and rhyme. :)

Perhaps there is nothing you could have done. In these cases the wit is often too wild to be tethered.

Jadi...to bedazzle someone so is probably each girl's dream at one time or another on their journey through life. I recall loving your poem and what inspired it then, and loving it more now that I can admire the scenario from an array of perspectives and savour your words as one would vintage wine. Then
there is the beauty of nature that ever bedazzles...the bedazzled reader...an more
