Impressions of a Detail

by Craig Allen

The palette knife
smears red, yellow,
burnt umber, blue,

forming flowers,
trees, wasp waisted
women with parasols.

Standing back to see the whole,
I marvel that those smears made
starry nights or water lilies.

Very nice Write Craig and welcome to pathetic. I wonder what you would do to the 'expressionist' painters.
