what do you call life?

by Charlie Morgan

life continues it's swayward ways of dodging
any amount of defining; as life coils at your
feet of balance, of solidarity and scrutiny.

seen but seldom understood: life is a warm blanket
filled with the Me of this world, this existence.

flailing with enjoyment yet trepidation, we face
the rapids of tomorrow and the tomorrows to come;

stoicism was invented to replace 'confused!'
cement becomes concrete when it hardens;

words forever invading and evading meaning.

yet the dicta of selfishness impels then propells
us outward to become part of the remaing all.
a fish can't know ocean though surrounded by it;
we cannot figure-out life and we're living it.
