Z? by Bert WilliamsIf I stay
And keep still
Would the blades
Become ill
If I gave you
A black hole
Could we fall in
And never go home
Love unlaced
Nothing in our eyes
With no space
For our hate to occupy
And could we live
Off of this
Could we stay
And bathe in it
Breathe in the lies to stay alive
Breathe you in for just tonight
Indulge myself on your ties
Before I decide to let go of mine
Love is numb
For only a second
Then it’s done
Abuse now beckons
Nothing to count on
Just a pain
Nothing to calm you
No gasoline stains
No sound is open
Nothing exists
Nowhere to begin
But everything to forget
I cannot wait
Till waiting is done
Sleeping to awaken
Our black hole in the sun
Oh could we live
Off of this
Could we stay
And bathe in it
Breathe in the lies to stay alive
Breathe you in for just tonight
Indulge myself on your ties
Before I decide to let go of mine
Till waiting is done

"Love unlaced

Yes - I rather like this stanza - "love unlaced" could merit a whole poem to itself I think |
Posted by Leslye Writer on 11/04/11 at 09:49 PM The place is familiar , the waking of the black hole in the sun. I felt it all the way through. Indulging in the ties .....I really like it!!!! |
