there's really nothing beautiful about
a woman scorned.
the way she'll try to knock someone down
just to feel a bit higher
and the way she envies the arch
of my back is exhausting.
there's really nothing beautiful
about an october day
filled with longing
when you know the one you claim
you don't want is really
the only one you do
and i think the only way to be beautiful
is to be
honest.
10/22/2011 Author's Note: it's colder again today
and i have a busy weekend of studying,
homework
and celebrating.
i am reminded of pain,
a pain that seems easy to write about
and even easier to lie about
and it's a shame we aren't honest
enough.
