a small table
for two
sammies, salad, mac & cheese
comfort food

you reached across
took my hand
and my heart skipped
a beat

later we snuggled on the couch
me educating you
in the ways of Project Runway
we "Made It Work"
even so that Tim Gunn
would be proud

our night
coming to an end
you held me close
beside the wheeping willow

our lips touched
a tender kiss
turning passionate

a flame ignited

and thus begun
the next page

Oh Shondy! What a romantic poem! He sounds like a knight, and he should be, for such a lovely lady!

so romantic, the feel of this poem. I like turning the pages on an unfolding romance!
