I am quite selfish
in my love for you.
It is the way that
I always wanted
to feel, so very real.
I miss you, to where
my heart aches,
my head hurts,
I can't even think.
Sometimes I can't breathe.
I wake, watching you sleep
so peaceful, so restful.
I miss you in these times
without ever leaving your side.
I want to walk hand in hand
with you, touching you, holding you
as we go through these days of our lives
together. It does not matter what we do
as long as I am with you.
I am selfish in this way.
I love you my sweet,
more than I can ever say.
