The sidewalks of the city are wet,
slick and shiny from the rain.
We scarcely notice them,
just happy the rain is over.
We jump puddles, dodging the wetter spots
as we navigate the dark and lovely street.
These colors dance across Broadway
while we simply live in this moment.
The sidewalks are so wet, so clean
holding the promise of Spring.
