An Angry Ocean

by Joe Cramer

such an angry ocean today
so perturbed
that I saw a wave
roll back
and spit out a would be surfer
imagine that

a lot of debris
for me to see on the beach,
a couple of palm trees,
some nice driftwood
including bamboo
and tons of plastic trash

very little sea glass,
no shark's teeth
a few people
though none
would distance themselves
from the wind swept sandy shore.

the four or five miles felt good,
though my hat blew off
of my head.
Imagine my dread.
but the angry ocean
couldn't get me

just my pedantic poetry.....

That's quite a mouthful of poetry there, my friend. I saw it clearly through your words.

I love the image of the ocean spitting out a surfer
