Incomplete by John D UzzellI sit in the front alone with my screen
Listening to others pain
Waiting for the day when my life will change
Or is this all in vain
I wait for a word from someone dear
Or I hear about the lasting effects
I wait for life to come to me
I think it is all I have left
I sit in the front alone with my screen
I watch the newest one on
Wondering if I will get the time
To help what I hear be done
I hear from far the sound of the end
In my heart for many years
The day is coming. It’s not long off
I couldn’t hold back the tears
I hear from nearby the battle of love
What do you think I should do?
The answer escapes me through my confusion
But I’ll answer with this is for you
Always look forward, never behind
Keep your eye ahead on the prize
Make it your goal to keep it all going
Don’t believe in the lies.
Still sitting in the front alone with my screen
Writing what’s happened in my life
Waiting for something to change in my world
Searching for the end of this strife
