It's in the
transition
where you find
who it is
you are.

Where the world
you thought
once existed
now morphs
into something
completely new

and it's the reaction
rather than
the end result
is what matters most.

I spun my wheels
for two years
after the path of life
took a different course
than what I thought.

I decided to finally
make that move
and take the leap
all in one step.

I had the support
of family and friends
and although
in the initial stages
I still see high hopes
for myself
and who it is
I am to become.

I know who will be there
because they always were.

There are a couple players
who have yet to show
themselves.

I am eager
to meet you
and allow me to introduce
this fine version of me.
