This love thing
is perilous.

Expose yourself long enough
and you're bound to get hurt.

Ask any stock broker
about risk and reward
and the answer usually
depicts
lesser the former
lesser the latter.

So to love
is dangerous.

The definition of insanity
is doing something
expecting a different result
than already encountered.

I must be crazy,
though love has yet
to be ironic, simply
just ruthless.

One day perhaps,
that love will find me
until then I hold that hope
that all the risk
was well worth the peril.
