under the knife of the october moon by Peter Hsuunder the knife of the october moon
i loved you young
when we couldn't live with silence
i loved you for miles and miles and miles
but time is iron like the womb
and now in my memory
i walk past your home
wondering where you live
alone
on the cold cold ground
i climb up all i know
spring escapes me with a whisper
and dissolves into the clouds of fall
under the knife
i love you older
for silent moonlit miles
miles
miles 10/04/2011 Author's Note: Miles.
