J

by Frankie Sanchez

The way in which you'd keep yourself
ever so slightly ajar.
Just enough for people to feel as though
they could fit comfortably inside you.
How your jokes and jabs were gestures
meant to justify your love.
You could be such a jerk,
you and your ego juxtaposed;
judgmental judge and jury,
keeping everything at arm's length
you could find any justification
to edify your jealousies.

Juicy. Couldn't resist. But really.

these letter bits are solid my friend. they are your voice, but more powerful & succinct. it's a nice change...your thoughts/feelings/emo hit harder and faster and i think maybe linger a bit longer. k is still my fave though. :)

how your poem reaches in and juts into the gut of the reader, embodying the very letter, as your stanza also embodies what I like to call a tree of j bird's, letters, words, sounds become more...depth and skills is ever a pleasure, grateful, peace, jewels
