i did not invent the word, and you did not destroy it

by Vikki Owens

i thought the line was drawn by you,
and there never was a line i wouldnt cross,
i felt the stars were hung by you,
so i stole them like jewels
stored away for a rainy day.

i thought i invented love,
when i fell in love with you,
when i go, i go all the way,
a deluge: it drenched you, and it drowned me too.

when you left,
i felt you took Me with you,
and left this shell to wander like
a hungry ghost,
but the power that i gave to you,
was the most you'd ever have.

i, myself, conjured all you ever were to be.
now i take my power back, and conjure me.

The Fates rear their ugly heads again. You do not chose who you love. You expressed that in this piece and nailed it. loved this piece. "When you left, you took ne with you" Beautiful ",and true". At the end, you get yourself back. A Great write!
