The Colour of Spring by Richard VinceThe world is freshly minted;
Renewed by the rising Spring Sun
That washes away the dust of Winter
And repaints the land and sky.
I want to write about
How I love the Spring, but
I fear that I will write about
Nothing, even though this is
Enough to gladden my heart.
I would like to imagine that
Millions of people have awoken to
This beautiful morning and
Smiled, but no one else seems to be
Looking out of the window.
Now I have stopped smiling too:
Sadness tends to spread.
But so does happiness, so I must
Try to help others to see
What I see, so that they can
Relocate their mislaid smiles.
I hope that the rising Spring Sun
Will not stop at the land and the
Sky, but will return life to
The people too.
