During the Blackout by Anita MacI have doomsday nightmares:
us against the remaining world.
(It beats the dwellings of my mind’s waking hours.)
Each morning, I expect you to follow up;
you were right there with me…
(The subconscious is more efficient at dealing with you.)
And besides,
you should know by now,
my body is waiting
for any excuse to shutdown.
