to earth: by Stuart Shiltonyou are fascinating creatures
you humans
so focused on your world
so inescapable incapable
of experiencing the infinite indifference
that the universe has for you
so geocentric in your experiences
you discovered the design of your own solar system
you are lost in the cosmos
killing people for miles of arbitrary dirt
on an unimportant planet, of an average solar system
for childish and ridiculous reasons
you humans
so very basic
so very arrogant
so very curious
so very silly
you humans are
i wish i could be human
just to FEEL

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 08/12/11 at 02:25 PM I like it! Right up until "the voice" expresses a desire to be human... |
Posted by Alison McKenzie on 08/12/11 at 02:27 PM What I mean to say is: I like it very much! The perspective of the voice NOT being human is very believable right up until it wishes it was human. |
