You play this game with me
ever so casually
as we move through these days.
In so many different ways
I end up wanting more
than you can ever give
through this life we live,
though not together.
So I ask the mundane
queries, always of the same,
if I could but peak
your interest in me.
Don't you simply see
how good I would be to you?
This much you know, could be true.
