So now, there's a genre
of poetry, just for guys,
or should I say, dudes.
More for everyman, such a quandry.
It's more like a pun,
a jest, a laugh written like a Limerick,
or something from Ogden Nash.
Maybe it's just meant to be fun,
or simply some new marketing ploy
to sell someone's book.
(With a definite slant of modernista culture.)
Worth taking a look?
I wonder what Kerouac, Bukowski or Nash would say
if they could perhaps peruse a line or two?
Methinks the Bard, that sweet swan of Avon
doth spinneth in his grave, a grave man indeed.
