On the Missing of You

by Joe Cramer

There is not enough rain in the world
to share all the heartache that does unfurl.
Not enough sunshine in the sky
to make these tears disappear, to dry.
These become the myriad of ways
that gather in the gloom of my days.
As the darkness that does now abound
the emptiness of my heart does surround
all of the angst that I hold deep inside.
All I want to do is run away and hide.

Very sad, Joe. Hopefully as she gets older and wiser, she'll realize how much dad cares and reach out to you. *hugs*
