Hiding in the Grocery Aisles

by Joe Cramer

I penned a myriad
of poems to you.
Far from few.
We were just not
good for each other.
Now you talk
behind my back
hiding in the grocery aisles.
I wonder all the while
if I did lack
the courage and conviction to balk,
to talk to another.
I wonder what
becomes of you
as I sorely eschew
your heart, always so very sad.
