Excruciating Bliss

by Jody Pratt

If I implied a kiss,
would you apply
a hurling forward fist?

For without your kiss,
my lips no doubt
will sink into abyss.

I try to sneak a kiss,
you turn a cheek
and shamefully I miss.

What is this?

I'm surprised with a kiss,
perfectly implied
it binds my wrists.

I claim your kiss,
finally obtained
I'll be sure to savor this.

Your invigorating kiss,
inevitably initiates
excruciating bliss.

Author's Note: I actually wrote this sometime last year, not sure when though.

Nicely done structure and word play. A lot of fun.
