defining language by Charlie Morgansitting here, getting as smart as daytime T V;
i see the world partially awakening, people
will be the last to awake, as we stay numbed
from our bout with life, just yesterday.
yesterdays should be like kids: seen, not heard.
yet daily using tomorrrow as a launching-pad
the memories reach the floor before our feet;
it starts then, our perception of our imagination.
what is real is an agreed-upon supposition. one,
where two baboons argue with a chimp over the
color of the best bananna; and the closest
7-11, things that matter to baboons and chimps,
acting as people. 07/19/2011 Posted on 07/19/2011 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 07/19/11 at 01:44 PM We think we're exquisite because we communicate in words...yet, words turn into boundaries, just like our bodies, meant to hold the soul in. But Charlie, your words always inspire the most interesting thoughts in me!! Thank you for doing it again! |

| Posted by George Hoerner on 07/19/11 at 11:42 PM I think we see, most of the time, people acting like chimps and baboons instead of the other way round. Of course unless you are referencing Washington DC in which case I think we are as you say watch chimps and baboons trying to act like people. Good write. |
