Tick tock tantalizing you
wait on response and repose
waiting ever for
what you think you wanted once:
A scarf, a two-step, a two-bit whore.
You never saw the purchase price.
Auctioned conversation wraps my brain as I wander
through your convenience store. Convenient.
You were always so fucking convenient and I
stumbled a hundred times through your 24/7 doors.
Chitter, you numb my other four senses:
Hello darling! It’s been months, hasn’t it?
It’s been since Jenny’s last bat mitzvah and
Whathisnameissoimportant and whatever it is is
just.waiting.
So
Tick tock tantalizing you
wait on response and repose
and I will hiss through my teeth a resounding
no.
