Silently Suffering

by John D Uzzell

Walking in the world, waiting for the next try
I see what happens through an untrained eye
I wait for my chance to reach in and hold
Am I to be so bold?

To expect you to reach back
To understand my thought
For you to know what I have felt
For you to feel what I have sought

For the years I have been looking
For the time I have lost
None of it has been a waste
But it has come at a cost

I’ve paid with my heart
Allowing it to reach away
Somehow I must pull it back in
It’s getting harder everyday

Something has got to give.
I don’t know about this one.
Too much time I think has passed.
I wonder if it is done.

I may be off, but this reminds me of those experiences, no one can ever shar with you. No one can ever understand. Those moments that live you tragically and introspectivally..alone. Well done!
