horizontal divide

by Mary Frances Spencer

we
conscious energy beings
are enveloped tight cocoons
wrapped sensitively in
glorious beautiful flesh suits

our determined
chemical gender
swirls primordial salts flowing
liquid electrical

phermonal voices loud
left right brains uneven
yet beyond

lines drawn in ancient sand
shimmer rainbows
along the horizontal divide

Author's Note: Wondering if the chemical components have more say than the energetic...does that even make sense? Oh well, at least I'm writing again... (-: MFS

It makes sense to me, and I for one am immensely grateful you're writing again.
