Halcyon by Joe CramerI spend all of these
halcyon days
with you.
One flowing into
another,
time standing still
time rapidly passing onward.
The Elysian Fields
call forth into
nothingness
as mythical birds
fly off into the sunset.
I spend these seamless
days with you
missing them,
longing for more.
I love you in this way. 05/30/2011 Posted on 05/30/2011 Copyright © 2024 Joe Cramer

Posted by Emily Tong on 06/09/11 at 04:41 AM it's strange - the feeling of missing someone even while spending every second with them; unable to enjoy the moment? or is the moment heightened because of the intensity of time in all its layers?
i love your phrase "halycon days," and your final line. |
