Heart is icy
Chest is cold
Maybe I’m stuck in winters hold
The long nights of infinite darkness
Is where I’m always left wandering
Here I see no truth
I feel no pain
I love the shiny covering
After an icy rain
The hardened shell
Covers the fragile inside
That quivers at the first sign of warmth
Waiting for it to erase the numbness
Knowing that with the warmth, comes the pain of feeling
But, the Pain is expected, and inevitable.
