Mother's Day

by Joan Serratelli

I miss you
I wish you were here
IT's been a long,
strange journey

The kids are ok.
There is now one more-
a boy
and another on the way
another boy

The kids are grown
I would give anything for you
and Dad to be here

I'm alone Mom
and I'm ok
..just lonely

It's obvious you have many loving memories of your mother...these relationships, though removed by passing, are of the stuff that gives poetry it's needful thing. Thanks. Happy Mom's day to you.
