what we must look like by Charlie Morganafternoon and the day is churning-out dreams;
those late-sleeping peeps who work all nite,
their clocks are bent and numbered just for them.
like ants, our brief cases filled with eggs for lunch,
a 24 hour day, or a vacation lasting forever;
both last a lifetime. or you can choose door marked TOMORROW!
a pie, sliced into Nths. sleep, dream, toil, grin.
love, hurt, cry, ache, feel, smile at the sunrise.
'tis a dance, an Island dance of Mankind; extant.
yet, all they'll get when they scrape my nails is my DNA.
so what will i look like then? squiggly lines intertwined?
will they see my soul, it''s jellyfish-transparent, look hard!
