i been to all the painful places;
stayed overnight at some of them.

it all started in a dark place,
plenty of room to move around;

slowly, i became cramped, needed out.

and immediately i was hung up-side-down,
slapped, and handed to colder hands.

washed, scrubbed, oiled-up and powdered.
and the pain hasn't stopped since.
