Coming to Our Senses by P CybanCan you see where they once stood?
I see them in a million faces,
Standing stronger than before.
Can you see the holes they left?
They're patched up nice and tight,
But they still bleed from time to time.
Can you smell the dust?
It‘s being kept in sandy vaults.
You’d think they didn’t wash.
Can you hear their dying cries?
I hear it in the voice of the people,
"Not in vain".
Can you feel the heat they felt?
There's a fire in my people's heart.
Each beat it grows hotter.
Can you taste victory?
I can’t, we’re using the wrong device.
The Beast of Khandahar does not build schools.
Sense these reasons to cry, fight, love, and die.
Never lose perspective.
The most beautiful flowers are sowed in fields of peace. 04/24/2011 Posted on 04/25/2011 Copyright © 2024 P Cyban
