green light. go. by Angela Thomasrunning from something, head smashing
on glass, feeling like i don't know how
to stop the spinning feeling. grasping
and begging for something, someone
to break my fall. from what exactly,
i have no idea. fall from grace, sanity,
happiness, peace, joy, i don't know
anymore. i like the streets best at night
when there's a string of green lights
stretching sixty city blocks, gliding
like flying, air whipping my hair
across my face. right then, my path
is certain, determined, understandable.
you never know when or how a free-fall ends. 04/18/2011 Posted on 04/18/2011 Copyright © 2024 Angela Thomas
