Fine Lines

by P.T. Brooks

What’s the difference in a man stranded
Or just standing still
Or a man drowning
Or waiting to kill
Is it possible to love someone fully
But hate them even more
What’s the difference in drowning
Or swimming to shore
Two unarguable forces
Are burning up my core
What’s the difference in waiting
And what I am waiting for

The flow in this is really, really nice. I can hear this very clearly as a strong, succinct spoken-word piece.

You've presented some excellent paradoxes here. Excellent verse. ~Chelle~

I agree with Gabriel. The allaiteration alone makes this a pleasan tpiece to speak aloud. Then there is the philosophical stances. Very good!

Wow. I am really thankful to have stumbled upon your writing. It's been so long since I was a frequent flyer here, and it's nice to start dipping in again and come across really good stuff like this. I really like this style.
