Beget or Give Birth by Ben EvansUnborn hypothesis
A shell, broken
from the inside,
begins.
The lonely crack
amongst the others
the nascent sunset
and dawning.
Pregnant sickness;
Burst battle-clad into
disbelief and hypocricy
Wither after death.
Of a thousand cuts,
one is the deepest. 04/18/2011 Posted on 04/18/2011 Copyright © 2025 Ben Evans

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 04/18/11 at 04:42 PM A lot of punch in these short, terse lines. The second-to-last is just terrific. |
