Granny by James BlaylockGranny
I miss you as I sit, thinking
I ponder our time together
and weep for your memory,
we'd shared our good times
and some bad ones as well,
but those are now forgotten
why couldn't we've been more
to one another than once in
a while friends and huggers...
because I loved you dearly
and I feel in my core you
had me in your heart, too

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 04/07/11 at 11:28 AM Nostalgic for me. I never knew my one grandmother as she died before I was born. The other grandmother I did love and remember her with fondness. She wasn't a hugger but was always kind and ready with the cookies or word of encouragement. |
