tomorrow just arrived, today! by Charlie Morganbuilt for life, why do we die?
the reasons look incidental.
you say i killed her; no, you did.
every drawn breath, exhaled.
our daily walks through the Refiners Fire,
allows for tough soles, to toughen souls.
my bucket is sloshing but not spilling;
water for my flowers--to drink and smile.
i grin back; his capacity was lessened,
yet tenure took him to the tomorrows
he had planned; leaving yesterdays behind.
he took long strides and when i caught-up,
he was disappearing; he was becoming me.
and i was made for engaging change; it was my time.
names are like badges, we don't need no stinking badges.
just one more tomorrow, and another, and another. 03/28/2011 Posted on 03/28/2011 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 03/29/11 at 02:08 AM Gads. I agree with George about the "as we age" thing. Time is of the essence these days, it seems. "...we don't need no stinking badges." My favorite line. |
