Hiding in Plain Sight (Ghost of a Chance)

by James Blaylock

Hiding in Plain Sight (Ghost of a Chance)

shh, can you see me,
or am I hiding too well?

I love being a ghost
but it is lonely, a-l-o-n-e

what should give if I were to laugh out loud
or merely start touching someone, anyone?

might the mirrors crack, falling, downwadly,
into the tiniest of shards, unseen splinters...

and anyone searching for them shall receive
their share of bloodied fingertips, raspberries

but I smile, or grin, or fake it - altogether
as you're busy doctoring with your needles

and as for me, I'll search for proper clothing,
within a chester-drawer, it's so creepy upstairs

I love the writing style in this. It has such a great vibe to it that feels weirdly disjointed at times. Very nicely written across the board.
