invention of time by Charlie Morgantime was yet to be invented;
so time clocks were absent. and absent
of the second hand, the minute hand
was frozen at the One. no alarm,
or hour hand, haven't you been listening?
time was yet to be invented.
no one was yet late to a meeting.
or getting home, even last call
was never said at closing time.
fridays would never get here
because thursdays did not exist.
i told you: time was yet to be invented.
immediately, come monday it was decided:
to spend all morning if it took it.
time was invented. the second the time
was in motion, things started dieing,
prisons being built, school recess bells
were set for 9 and 2. office clocks grew fangs.
things would be so nice but time was invented.
