my day's dream

by Charlie Morgan

i sped thru the portal of dawn;
to a dream not finished yet.

a graveyard, mausoleum to life
waved me thru to even a darker dark.

foolish dreams couldn't escape;
none survived without her;
she is my day's dream.

she is my dream of reality; scary
that she carries with her my very

existence.

spent are my youthful days; nostalgic,
but totally misunderstood. gracefully,
i've begun the aging process of power-
washing my soul to a sparkle and shine.

will i have time to complete the job?
