Should I feel bad about not feeling bad
For losing the one true friend I have ever had?
I would if I'd not lost it a long time ago
And replaced it with a feeling you'll never know

Nor will I grieve losing my love for you
I cannot miss a love that I never gave to you
All things with beginnings must also have ends
I will not feel bad if we are no longer friends

Don't change your mind and hope that I persist
I cannot resurrect what never did exist
You won't catch me crying because this is your loss
You never gave my love a chance to get across
