Wake-Up and Smell the Truth




wrestling the self doubt

into the dirt and grinning,



why must we hate ourselves,

anyways, for what we are not



because no one is perfect,

facts are we're all, so flawed



we're playing our head games

pretending we're not worried



but this is a wake-up call

to free ourselves from lies



and now tomorrow nothing

stands in any of our ways
