Yes it's true
I'd rather sit at a poker table
losing my shirt and my savings
than listen to another
alpha male
talk of conquests
or treating my coworkers
like idiots
because they serve others
as a means to an end.

And yes
it's probably true
that these servants
are more intelligent
and certainly better equipped
to run this nation
than one run by
all these egotists put together.

Of course
it's sad
and true
that the world
doesn't function
the way it should
or perhaps could
but maybe
the world doesn't care
to run efficiently
or with compassion.

It seems
that the truth is
something too grand
and too pitiful to fathom
so creating smaller battles
is easier than dealing with
the war at hand.

The feeble few
eat at my restaurant constantly
and the intelligent masses serve them.

We are all truly lost.
