| Posted by Clara Mae Gregory on 03/04/11 at 01:31 AM I remember once standing at the edge of a storm and being able to walk in and out of its showers all while the sun was shining...for some reason, this poem brought back that memory(which was a true event that really happened). I think it was this line that triggered it:"when it rains in summer and when the sun shines in monsoon
for early is to be late as late is to be too soon" ....anyways, I really like the overall poetics of this work...but the last few lines just do not seem to fit."That's when, you see my friends
dullness starts - creativity ends." It could be the punctuation as well as the presentation style of using "imagination is....when.....and some of the "whens" fit this idea, yet towards the latter part of the poem, it seems to indicate what "imagination" is not....and it isn't clear that it has changed from what imagination is to what it isn't, leaaving me a little confused in deciphering the poem's meaning.
