element is you,
delicate assembly
of barbaric energy.

Edge of the table,
legs crossed and
dangling, arms
outstretched and
hands in mine,
eyes in mine.

Measured breaths:
a double helix of
spiraling phonemes.

And where they meet,
there is no dispute.
