Shadow and Bone by JJ Johnsonwill you steal time with me
or just seduce and fuck me secretly?
do you live your own stereotype
or just imitate the shadows you wish were your own?
if the world expanded
no further than your welcome matted door
who would call from beyond the wood
that swings open to expose a barricade of bricks
who would come to knock it down
when the morter dried between stones held far enough apart?
their similarities will never touch
squeezed secretly behind the wood where shadows cast unseen
take a walk where no path leads
drop the glare that guards your secrets from me
unconfined jewels mingle loosely
under the lid of the box with locks protecting them
all that lies between our love
unsolid darkness seen by all who witness light
unseen clarity hides a hard hearts cage
until exposure proves forever is too late 02/22/2011 Posted on 03/01/2011 Copyright © 2024 JJ Johnson
