Some poems I've written
have been saved as files
and ultimately deleted.

Others were typed fully
and still met the demise
of a pressed backspace.

And many have been conjured
as images and words mentally
until the stresses of life

made me tip over
and like alphabet soup
spilling onto the floor

my mind cleared
and all that was left
was emptiness.
