Quarter Notes

by V. Blake

     revel  in   the  hush

     oh                 my

     perfect  little  girl

     they             will

     bury             gods

     with             only

     your             song

know that        i was not

the first        to try it

Ah. I lovelovelove when poets make the words dance. Thank you.

Monotypically expressive piece, if that doesn't sound too crotchety. Liquid notes that belie a concrete definition...
I'll sign the petition for the burying of gods :>

So thats what happens when (like in the head) a song gets stuck in the word processer...fun. Thanks.

I thought I was a musician once, but that was long ago. This little piece is lovely...albeit sinister. Or maybe that's just me.

There is something very you about this one... I like it, the cute form and dark words add up to a familiar snarky of which I'm quite fond.
